‘”They did not only vote but stood by their votes, and that is why we can stand here today as governor, and as deputy governor.
‘’Our victory today is dedicated to the people of Bayelsa State. They are indeed the worthy recipients of this certificate for their good work.

“I thank the INEC in Bayelsa at all levels for ensuring a transparent, free and fair election in Bayelsa. For standing your ground, and ensuring that you were used as a tool to thwart the will and mandate of the people.
“Let me thank my party leadership and the campaign council for all the support throughout the campaigns even as we moved from community to community, even during and after the elections.
“Lastly, I want to thank the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, President Tinubu, for allowing free and fair elections to be conducted in Bayelsa State.”
