Funke Akindele is kind, generous despite strict nature – Nollywood actress Ronke Oshodi-Oke

Actress Ronke Oshodi-Oke has described her colleague Funke Akindele as a kind and generous person, despite her reputation for being strict.

In an interview on African A-List, Ronke acknowledged that Funke has a firm personality, a trait the filmmaker herself admits to.

However, she said those close to Funke know her for her compassion and readiness to help others.

According to Ronke, Funke has a way of lifting people’s spirits and often turns a bad day around for visitors to her home.

She noted that the actress extends support to people both within and outside the entertainment industry, including individuals she meets on social media.

Ronke also shared a personal experience, saying Funke supported her financially during a period of illness.

She added that the assistance came even before the health challenge and that Funke prefers to give quietly without publicising it.

The actress stressed that her comments were not influenced by any current working relationship, stating that she has not appeared in any of Funke’s recent movie projects.

She said she was speaking from personal knowledge of Funke’s character.

Ronke concluded by describing Funke as a caring and blessed individual who quietly comes to the aid of people in difficult situations.

“Funke Akindele is a good woman. She’s very strict oo, even Funke herself says it that she knows she’s strict, but if you know her well, you will know that despite her strictness, she is very, very kind. I’d have loved to mention the whopping amount of money she gave me while I was sick, but we’re on the Internet, I wouldn’t.

“She’s that person that gives and doesn’t go around talking about it. She gives and move on. She is a generously good and blessed person,” she said.
