(1) 1,805,216 candidates wrote the examination

(2) 1,301,941 candidates have credit passes in English and Mathematics

(3) 673,121 female candidates have credit passes in English and Mathematics

(4) 628,820 male candidates have credit passes in English and Mathematics

(5) 1,332,089 candidates, representing 73.79%, obtained credit and above in a minimum of any five subjects (i.e. with or without English Language and/ or Mathematics.

(6) 145 candidates were visually challenged.

(7) 473 candidates had impaired hearing.

(8) 44 candidates were spastic cum mentally challenged.

(9) 38 candidates were physically challenged.

(10) 1,814,736 candidates registered for the examination in 25,126 recognized secondary
