ADC holds stakeholders meeting in Lagos

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) Lagos State Chapter has successfully concluded its Critical Stakeholders Leadership Meeting over the weekend, drawing together fifty key leaders from the Coalition and the State Working Committee.

According to Mabel Oboh, the party’s Director of Communications, in a statement, disclosed that the high-level gathering, which lasted over five hours, was graced by the ADC National Secretary, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola, who served as the Guest of Honour.

In his closing remarks, Aregbesola emphasised the importance of unity, discipline, and forward-thinking leadership in strengthening the party’s structure.

He also shared guiding principles on how to ensure a seamless integration of members across different blocs within the coalition.

The meeting brought together a diverse range of notable figures in Lagos politics and civic leadership, including Dr. Abimbola Ogunkelu, Alhaji M. M. Ashorobi, Navy Captain Tunji Shelle (Rtd.), Hon. Rahman Owokoniran, Hon. Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour, Professor Ola Olateju, Hon. Moshood Salvador, Pastor Kayode Jacobs, Chief Onita Coker, Aerosoft, Hon. Francis Chima “Omobarca,” Hon. Emilia Ezeuide, among many others representing various interests within the ADC Coalition.

The session was chaired by the ADC Lagos State Chairman, Mr. George Ashiru, who underscored the significance of collective leadership and strategic vision in driving the party’s success ahead of upcoming political engagements.

He was ably supported by the State Deputy Chairman, Magistrate Chief Mrs. Giwa-Amu (rtd), who also expressed optimism about the renewed sense of purpose and collaboration demonstrated during the meeting.

The event concluded with a strong resolution among participants to deepen grassroots engagement, strengthen internal democracy, and build an inclusive political platform capable of delivering good governance and credible representation to the people of Lagos State.

The director of communications noted that with the momentum from the meeting, ADC Lagos appears poised for a new phase of political consolidation and growth under the renewed leadership of its committed stakeholders.
