Insecurity: Oyo govt extends curfew in 10 Local Government Areas by 24 hours •FULL LIST

Governor ‘Seyi Makinde of Oyo Stata, has approved the extension of the curfew imposed on 10 local government areas bordering the Old Oyo National Park by 24 hours.

This was made known by the Secretary to the State Government, Professor Musibau Babatunde, in a memo issued yesterday.

Recall that the state government had announced a 4.00pm to 8.00am curfew in the 10 local government areas on June 23, 2026, reports Daily Independent.

With this extension, the curfew, which was to last for 48 hours in the first instance, will continue till Saturday, June 27, 2026.

The affected local government areas are:

1. Oriire (Headquarters: Ikoyi-Ile)

2. Orelope (Headquarters: Igboho)

3. Irepo (Headquarters: Kisi)

4. Saki West (Headquarters: Saki)

5. Saki East (Headquarters: Ago-Amodu)

6. Atisbo (Headquarters: Tede / Ago-Are)

7. Itesiwaju (Headquarters: Otu)

8. Iseyin (Headquarters: Iseyin)

9. Olorunsogo (Headquarters: Igbeti)

10. Atiba (Headquarters: Offa-Meta, Oyo)
