The FrontierThe FrontierJanuary 21, 2025 3221 Minutes read0

The Ministry of Interior has announced the retirement of at least 42 of its officers from the public service after serving the nation meritoriously.

The officers were hosted at a send-forth ceremony to acknowledge their remarkable contributions to the country.

Director, Press and Public Relations, Mr Ozoya Imohimi, in a statement today in Abuja, explained that the officers were exiting the public service after attaining the retirement age of 60 or putting in 35 years of service to the Federal Government of Nigeria.

The Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Interior, Dr Magdalene Ajani, showered encomium on the retiring officers for upholding the core values of diligence, integrity, and patriotism.

She emphasised the importance of resilience, excellence, and service to the Ministry and the nation as a whole, stating that every organisation’s success story is written by the dedication and sacrifice of its workforce.

The highlight of the event was the presentation of certificates of appreciation to the retiring officers by the Permanent Secretary, Dr Ajani.

Notable among those who were celebrated were former Director, Finance and Account, Alhaji Bello Yabo Na’ Allah, former Director, Citizenship and Business, Mr John Adeniran, former Director of Planning, Research and Statistics, Mrs Victoria Agbo, and a former Director in the Planning, Research and Statistics Department, Mrs Christy Adeniyi.
