6 things you should never ask AI

The FrontierThe FrontierJanuary 17, 2025 4221 Minutes read0

Artificial Intelligence (AI) has become one of the hottest norms and the real deal of this era. People key into it for creativity and help with their career goals. However, despite its enormous benefits, there are certain things or questions you’re not expected to ask AI.

This is to protect you from any sort of intrusion. Remember, AI is not human; it is not designed to help you solve all your life problems.

Below are the things you should never ask AI:

1. Personal information

Don’t reveal your personal information to AI; keep it to yourself. It is not safe to share your passwords, emails, address, social security numbers, credit card numbers, and bank account numbers. All this information can be used to trace or manipulate you.

2. Seeking medical advice

AI is not a doctor hence you shouldn’t share your health details or seek medical advice. The best consultation you can do if you truly want to help yourself is with medical professionals else, it would damage you.

3. Your secret

Anything you’re not comfortable with sharing with anyone or the world, don’t do it with AI. Things that are quite private should remain within you because everything you discuss with chatbots is stored and can also leak out.

4. Seeking emotional support

Always remember that AI is not a human being regardless of its replies to you. It is just an algorithm; it is not programmed to understand emotions. This isn’t to say that you can’t seek ideas for your career, but to make it your companion and get attached to it must not be embraced.

5. Illegal activities

Another thing you should never ask an AI is how to carry out an illegal activity. Artificial Intelligence cannot be used to carry out operations such as fraud or hacking. It is very unethical, so don’t ever do it.

6. Don’t use AI to dial numbers

You should never ask AI to dial or find a number for you. A voice assistant might connect you to a scam instead of the real service.
