There have been escalating tensions as demonstrators rallied across the country against the government’s proposed tax hikes.

Videos obtained by The Frontier show security agents opening fire on the protesters who are mainly Gen-Z.

In one of the videos sighted by The Frontier, the head of a protester was completely blown off by dynamite purportedly fired by the security agents while in another video the demonstrators are seen breaking into the parliament and the Senate, calling on William Ruto, his cabinet and the lawmakers to quit.

“Ruto must go. You must all go. We are not afraid of you. Come out now!”, a protesting youth who pounced on the entrance to the Senate was heard announcing.

A message from a reliable source to The Frontier confirmed the Senate invasion by the protesters this afternoon, “Yes! The protestors have managed to enter parliament and Senate. It seems there is fire….”

The mainly Gen-Z-led rallies, which began last week, have taken President William Ruto’s government by surprise, with the Kenyan leader saying over the weekend that he was ready to speak to the protesters.
