Residents and workers in the affected areas are crying for help as they have been trapped by the floods.

•Floods in Eti Osa LGA

A worker in one of the areas who reached out to The Frontier on phone some minutes ago lamented that they don’t know their fate if the rain continues to fall.

A worker who called from one of the establishments in Eti Osa Local Government Area told The Frontier, “The rain has been on for the past four hours or so. The entire area of Murtala Eletu way, Osapa London and its environs are completely flooded. The water level has risen above the window in most buildings. Most residents and workers are trapped indoors, gasping for help. There is no indication that the rain may subside anytime soon. Some of the workers are standing on tables to avoid drowning.

“We are calling on the Lagos State Government to do something fast to save us in Eti Osa before we are all swept away by the floods.”

Calls made to advertised emergency lines in the state were all engaged as at the time of filing this report.
