CHAN 2025: Super Eagles Team B seeded in Group D with Senegal, others •FULL LIST

Nigeria’s Super Eagles B have been drawn in Group D alongside Senegal, Congo, and Sudan for the 2025 African Nations Championship to be held in Kenya, Tanzania, and Uganda come August.

The CHAN tourney which features 19 teams, with 17 already confirmed will see Nigeria try to emerge champions for the first time since its inception in 2009, reports Channels TV.

The two final spots will be decided in a special qualifying round, the date of which is yet to be announced.

The draw which was announced yesterday also sees the likes of the defending champions Senegal aiming to make it back-to-back tournament wins.

Other groupings from the draw include Group A, which features host nations Kenya, Morocco, Angola, DR Congo, and Zambia, and Group B, consisting of Tanzania, Madagascar, Mauritania, Burkina Faso, and the Central African Republic.

The CHAN finals will take place in August, with specific dates and fixtures expected to be announced in the coming months.

It was initially billed for February, but CAF postponed the event to give the host countries time to complete the necessary facilities for the competition.

GROUPS

GROUP A: Kenya, Morocco, Angola, DR Congo, Zambia

GROUP B: Tanzania, Madagascar, Mauritania, Burkina Faso, Central African Republic

GROUP C: Uganda, Niger Republic, Guinea, Wild Card 2, Wild Card 1

GROUP D: Senegal, Congo Brazzaville, Sudan, Nigeria
