American rappers should learn from Nigerians – Music superstar Kanye West

•Kanye West

American rapper Kanye West has said that most American artistes are not business smart and need to learn from Nigerians, Jews, Chinese, and Indians.

He made the statement during an interview with DJ Akademiks, where he spoke about how many US rappers depend on foreign investors and lawyers to manage their careers.

“None of these nigas [rappers] are as smart as me. I can’t say for the tech dudes… But artistes are dumb, bro. It’s like, they can’t even fcking count, bro.”

Kanye also said most record labels and TV networks in the US are run by Jewish lawyers and investors, and challenged his colleagues to build something on their own.

“Go and ask them to run a whole record label without a Jewish person… Go and set up your whole TV network, make it run, no Jewish investor, let me see how that works.”

He praised Nigerian creatives and entrepreneurs for taking charge of their business.

“Until motherfckers can really get their stuff together like the Nigerians, the Chinese, the Jewish or like the tech Indian or some sht, everything I’m saying counts, ” he added.
