Something bad happens to my business every time I fight my wife — Afrobeats star Davido

The FrontierThe FrontierApril 9, 2025 4121 Minutes read0

•Davido and wife, Chioma

Nigerian Afrobeats star, David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has revealed that something negative happens to his business any time he has a disagreement with his wife, Chioma Rowland.

The ‘Fem’ crooner made this known during an interview on The Breakfast Club podcast yesterday.
The singer explained that he has noticed a pattern where problems in his career often follow arguments with his wife.

According to him, she has had a strong influence over him since they were young, and he now avoids conflicts with her to protect both his home and work life.

He said, “My wife has always had this thing over me since we were young. Every time I fight her, something bad happens to my business. So, if I fight her, she would say, ‘You are fighting me, abi? Don’t worry. Shebi your album is coming and you want to fight me?’ She has that grace.”

Davido also said he is no longer interested in cheating, stressing that he is now committed to living more responsibly.

He noted that he has five children with four women and has decided to change his lifestyle to avoid further problems.

He added that his past experiences have taught him valuable lessons, and he is now focused on building a more peaceful and stable life.

“I’m not cheating again. I don’t want wahala. I have five kids with four women. I’d rather go and live how my other guys are living. Maybe because I’ve had bad experiences. Sometimes experience is the best teacher.”

Recall that the couple got married in a star-studded event held in Lagos on 25 June 2024.
