•Jack Wilshere

Former England international Jack Wilshere has been appointed as the new Luton Town manager, marking the beginning of his senior managerial career at a club that holds deep personal significance for him.

Wilshere’s appointment comes as Luton Town look to rebuild and stabilise after a turbulent start to their current campaign.

The club, which has earned widespread respect for its rapid rise to top-flight football in recent years, now places its faith in a young manager with a strong footballing pedigree and a clear passion for development.

According to Fabrizio Romano’s post today “Jack Wilshere becomes new Luton Town manager.”

Responding to the appointment, according to Fabrizio Romano’s post, Wilshere said, “It feels like a full-circle moment for me. I was eight when I first came to Luton as a boy, so I guess you could say it’s fate that my first full-time club managerial position is at this club.”

Wilshere is expected to take charge immediately as Luton Town welcome Mansfield Town on Saturday at 15:00.
