•Governor Siminalayi Fubara

Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara has approved a minor cabinet reshuffle within the State Executive Council.

As part of the changes, Barrister Christopher Green has been redeployed from the Ministry of Sports to the Ministry of Justice as the Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice, reports Daily Independent.

The development was disclosed in an official statement signed by the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Information and Communications, Dr. Honour Sirawoo.

According to the statement, Barrister Green will continue to oversee the Ministry of Sports in an interim capacity pending the appointment of a substantive commissioner.

The redeployment takes immediate effect and was approved at the final State Executive Council meeting for 2025.

The move is aimed at strengthening governance, ensuring continuity in service delivery, and optimising the performance of key ministries in the state.
