The FrontierThe FrontierApril 24, 2026 920 Minutes read0

•Michael Eneramo

Former Super Eagles striker Michael Eneramo is dead. Eneramo was reported to be playing a football match in Kaduna when he slumped and died.

He was brought on in the second half of the match and he fell on his own without any contact, reports The Guardian.

Eneramo played for various clubs like Besiktas of Turkey, Tunisian champions Esperance as well as Lobi Stars of Makurdi.

In 2008, Eneramo considered accepting Tunisian citizenship in order to become eligible to play for the national team of the North African country.

He was eventually called up to the Nigeria national team in 2009 and played his first game on February 11, 2009.

In his second game with the Super Eagles, Eneramo scored the opening goal against the Republic of Ireland.
