Accident victims robbed of valuables along Oyo/Ogbomoso road

The FrontierThe FrontierJanuary 7, 2025 2800 Minutes read0

Suspected armed robbers have reportedly dispossessed victims of a crash that occurred at the Oolo axis of the Oyo-Ogbomoso highway of their valuables.

It was gathered that while the victims were gasping for breath, the suspected robbers were carrying out the nefarious activity, reports Nigerian Tribune.

It was gathered that some of the items carted away included cash, mobile phones, and other valuables.

An eyewitness told the Nigerian Tribune that “all the victims in the accident were stripped of their valuables, which included money and mobile phones.”

Another source said, “One of the victims, Olabisi Toluwani, who was travelling, is still at the LAUTECH Teaching Hospital.”

When contacted by phone, the Head of Public Relations of LAUTECH Teaching Hospital, Ogbomoso, Omotayo Ogunleye, confirmed the incident to our correspondent.

Ogunleye said, “Yes, the information is true. Toluwani is receiving treatment at the hospital’s Accident and Emergency Unit.”
