After pregnancy controversy, star actress Chika Ike shares photos of her newborn baby

•Chika Ike and her baby girl

Nollywood actress Chika Ike has shared the first photos of her newborn, a baby girl.

The actress, who had been at the center of speculation linking Senator Ned Nwoko to her child, took to Instagram today to express her joy, posting photos of herself cradling her baby.

“My baby is here… Welcome to the world, my sunshine,” she wrote.

Following her post, Nollywood stars and fans flooded her comment section with congratulatory messages.

Actress Ini Edo reacted, writing, “Awwwwwww, congratulations sis.”

Ghanaian actress Juliet Ibrahim also joined in, saying, “Congratulations, Sis! Welcome to the world, baby girl.”

Fellow actress, Ruby Ojiakor, added, “Biggest congratulations, momma.”

Before sharing her baby’s photos, Chika Ike had earlier spoken out against widespread speculation about the father of her child, dismissing the claims as baseless and misleading.

Taking to her Instagram page, she wrote, “There have been all sorts of lies peddled about me in the media for years, but I always treated them like what they are — rumors that needed no response. But this is different; this is about my child.”

She made it clear that mentioning Senator Ned Nwoko as the father of her baby was nothing but a guessing game, insisting that she has no interest in being his seventh wife.

She said, “Ned isn’t the father of my child, and whoever’s name you might come up with later in your guessing games… I’m not about to be anyone’s seventh wife! Polygamy isn’t for me.”

Chika Ike revealed that she had kept her pregnancy under wraps for months, only choosing to announce it on her own terms.

He said, “I’ve been pregnant for months now, and no one even had a clue until I announced it. And you all think you’ll know who the father of my child is or anything happening in my life? Very laughable and clueless!”
