Anambra guber election: APC candidate Ukachukwu vows to usher in agro revolution, establish industrial parks

The All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate, Prince Nicholas Ukachukwu, has promised to end what he described as the “era of empty rhetoric” if elected governor in the November 8 election.

Ukachukwu made the pledge during campaign rallies in Omo and Anaku communities in Ayamelum Local Government Area, where he unveiled his development agenda for Anambra North, reports The Nation.

He vowed to transform the zone through improved infrastructure, quality education, stable power supply, and massive job creation.

According to him, his administration would usher in “glorious moments” for the people of Anambra.

Speaking with reporters after the rally, the Director General of the Prince Nicholas Ukachukwu–Iyom Campaign Council, Dozie Ikedife (Jnr), said the APC candidate was committed to bringing tangible development to the state and restoring public confidence in governance.

Ikedife said Ukachukwu’s blueprint includes agricultural revitalisation through an agro-value chain revolution and the establishment of an industrial park to create thousands of jobs for youth.

He added that security and infrastructural development would be top priorities for the APC candidate, who plans to protect farmlands from herdsmen attacks and create an enabling environment for businesses and investments to thrive.

Community leaders and stakeholders at the rally, including Chief Ikechukwu Maduka Nebuife, John Anigbogu Icheke, and Eziagulu Offodile, a former SDP chairman who led his supporters to the APC during the event, expressed confidence in Ukachukwu’s leadership capacity.

They urged Ayamelum residents and the wider Anambra electorate to support the APC candidate, describing him as a man of integrity with a genuine commitment to development.

“We are no longer comfortable with APGA’s deceit. Our roads are impassable, our youths are unemployed, and our communities have been neglected. Prince Ukachukwu is a man of his word, and this is the time to deliver him to the Government House,” the stakeholders declared.
