•DCP Ibrahim Ezekiel addressing the Constables

The Anambra State Police Command has visited Police Constables from the Command currently undergoing intensive combat and armed drill training at the Police College, Oji River in Enugu State, reaffirming its commitment to strengthening operational capacity in the state.

The visit, which took place yesterday, Thursday, March 5, 2026, was aimed at assessing the progress of the trainees and encouraging them to remain committed to the rigorous programme designed to enhance their professionalism, discipline, and combat readiness for modern policing, reports Daily Independent.

Speaking during the visit, the Deputy Commissioner of Police in charge of Operations, DCP Ibrahim Ezekiel, stated that the Command remains dedicated to ensuring that officers receive the best training and operational exposure necessary to effectively carry out their duties.

He noted that the Command would continue to collaborate closely with the Assistant Inspector-General of Police, AIG Emmanuel Simon Bretet, and the Management of the Police College to ensure that the officers are well prepared to meet the evolving security challenges and operational demands in Anambra State.

The visit also provided an opportunity for the management team to motivate the trainees to remain focused, disciplined, and determined throughout the demanding training programme.

The Command reiterated its resolve to strengthen the capacity of its personnel through continuous training and strategic collaboration with relevant institutions in order to enhance effective policing and ensure sustained public safety across Anambra State.
