BBNaija S10: How I was married off at 15 against my wish — Sultana

The FrontierThe FrontierSeptember 1, 2025 1231 Minutes read0

Big Brother Naija Season 10 housemate, Farida Sultana, simply known professionally as Sultana, has revealed that she was married off at the age of 15, a childhood experience she described as not her choice but one that shaped her journey of resilience.

The disclosure came yesterday after she won the Head of House interim game and prepared to defend her title in today’s contest.

In a heart-to-heart conversation with fellow housemate Jason Jae in the garden, Sultana opened up about her past, saying she is now a mother of two daughters, Aaliyah and Lianora.

“I was married off really young as a child,” she told Jason.

When asked how old she was, she replied, “I was about 15.”

She said the marriage was not her choice, but her determination and stubbornness helped her eventually break free.

She also disclosed that she gave birth to her children through C-section.

Her official X account, managed by her team, later echoed her reflections, noting that she built herself up “brick by brick” with the support of loved ones and has learned to own her story.

Speaking about her daughters, Sultana said, “Aaliyah and Lianora are my world. I love them so much and cherish them with all my heart.”

She further hinted that her tattoos carry untold stories, describing herself as “like an onion, the more you peel, the more you discover.”

Her team added that her participation in BBNaija goes beyond the show, as she hopes to inspire young girls in the North facing similar challenges.
