The FrontierThe FrontierDecember 11, 2025 930 Minutes read0

United Nigeria Airlines has alerted passengers and the travelling public to disruptions across its flight network following a bird strike involving one of its operating aircraft today, Thursday, December 11, 2025.

In a statement issued by its Corporate Communications Unit, the airline explained that the affected aircraft has been immediately withdrawn from service in line with its strict safety protocols.

It noted that the aircraft will undergo a comprehensive inspection before it is cleared to return to operation, reports Daily Independent.

The airline emphasised that safety remains its foremost priority and that all necessary measures are being taken to ensure the continued protection of passengers, crew, and equipment.

United Nigeria Airlines apologised for the inconvenience the incident may cause to passengers’ travel plans and appealed for patience and understanding.

It assured that its team is working diligently to reduce the impact of the disruptions, with efforts already under way to provide timely updates and support those requiring rebooking assistance.

The airline further reaffirmed its commitment to maintaining the highest operational and safety standards across its services.
