BREAKING: FCT Minister Wike begs Nigerians for forgiveness over cows roaming Abuja roads, takes responsibility

•Wike and cows on Abuja roads

The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, has taken responsibility and begged for forgiveness from Nigerians over the continued presence of cows on major roads and streets across Abuja, admitting that the situation remains a concern despite efforts to improve the capital city.

Wike said this during his monthly media briefing in Abuja today.

He expressed regret over the development and assured residents that the administration remains committed to addressing it.

“I apologise that up till now there are cows still roaming the streets of Abuja, I take responsibility,” the minister said.

He also highlighted ongoing infrastructure projects across the territory, noting that development initiatives are being extended beyond the city centre to communities in satellite towns.

The presence of roaming cattle in Abuja has been a recurring issue for years, with residents and motorists periodically raising concerns about safety and the movement of livestock on major roads.
