•Shettima and Tinubu in a handshake

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has returned to Abuja, after cutting short his work vacation ahead of schedule.

The president arrived at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport at about, 6:50 and was received by top government officials, reports Daily Trust.

Yesterday, Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, had disclosed that the president would return to Abuja today, Tuesday, September 16, 2025, to resume official duties.

The president departed for France on September 4, 2025, to spend part of his annual holiday and was initially scheduled to spend ten working days outside the country, between France and the United Kingdom.

While in France last week, President Tinubu held a private luncheon with his French counterpart, President Emmanuel Macron, at the Élysée Palace.

At the Luncheon both leaders reviewed key areas of cooperation between Nigeria and France and agreed to deepen the partnership for mutual prosperity and global stability.
