Cleric to Tinubu: Declare state of emergency on security

The FrontierThe FrontierJanuary 29, 2024 5241 Minutes read0

•Apostle Kure and Tinubu

Following the persistent gruesome killings and kidnappings in Plateau, Benue, Kaduna, Abuja, and other parts of the Country, a Kafanchan-based Cleric, Vion Pioneer Throneroom Trust Ministry, Apostle Dr. Emmanuel Nuhu Kure has called on the President Bola Tinubu to declare a state of emergency on the security.

To him, the state of emergency on crime and terrorism in the country would help in the restoration of law and order especially in the highly volatile communities in the North East, North West, North Central, and North East, reports Daily Sun.

Speaking during the monthly programme of the Ministry in Kafanchan the headquarters of Jema’a Local Government Area of Kaduna State, Kure challenged Mr. President to issue a marching order to the military and other security agencies to immediately tame the activities of criminals who derive pleasure in taking lives they did not give.

Kure further advised the federal government to provide advanced weapons for the military to confront the criminals whom he noted are using better and more advanced weapons to carry out their nefarious activities.

As far as Kure was concerned, Tinubu should be more determined and precise in addressing mirage of problems facing the country especially now that he has won election petition cases up till the Supreme Court that were distracting him ab initio.

Kure who is also the Chairman of the Southern Kaduna Christian Leaders Association also challenged State governors in the North Central states and Kaduna State to consider creating a joint security structure within the confines of the law, just like the Amotekun in the South-west

He, however, warned that if the government fails to be deliberate in solving the daunting challenges the masses are currently facing especially security of lives and property, God can intervene on behalf of those bombarding Him with requests for vengeance.
