•Gridlock on Lagos-Ibadan Expressway today

Commuters are stuck in a major traffic on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway which has lasted since last night.

The gridlock stretches along the sections of the road outbound Lagos, including areas like Kara, Opic, Long Bridge among others, reports Channels TV.

Checks revealed that this was caused by an accident as well as multiple breakdowns of vehicles along this axis. There is also a diversion along the Long Bridge due to maintenance work which has been ongoing for a while now.

All the way from Berger to Kara and down to Long Bridge are hampered by traffic, causing a lot of people to report late to work today.

This gridlock has posed a great challenge to commuters trying to get out of Lagos. It has also affected those inbound Lagos as many outbound motorists have started to pass the inbound side.
