Date announced for 2nd edition of Aba International Trade Fair

The FrontierThe FrontierSeptember 26, 2025 1371 Minutes read0

•Abia State deputy governor, Ikechukwu Emetu

The second edition of Aba International Trade Fair will be held from November 28 to December 7, 2025, even as Abia State government has declared that the 10-day trade fair would be used to showcase the abundant ingenuity of Aba residents as well as the readiness of the city to present itself as a potential commercial destination of Africa.

Speaking at a world press conference in Umuahia today, the deputy governor of the state, Engr Ikechukwu Emetu said the fair whose theme is “Sustaining the Momentum, Unlocking Abia’s Economic Potentials” would attract many local and foreign exhibitors.

According to him, the fair is being organised by the state government in collaboration with the Aba Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (ACCIMA) and Umuahia Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (UCCIMA), reports Daily Independent.

On the venue of the event, the deputy governor announced that it will be held at the trade fair complex located at Osisioma, an outskirts of Aba.

He maintained that adequate publicity will be given to inform exhibitors, clients and other stakeholders in the industry of its potential benefits and that the event would afford the two chambers of commerce in Aba and Umuahia the opportunity of interacting with their counterparts outside the state and Nigeria.

“We’ll have proper handshake with exhibitors, manufacturers, businessmen and women outside the state even those in the hinterland in terms of publicising the event. We all know that our amiable governor, Dr Alex Otti is a media friendly governor, therefore, the media will be carried along properly”, he declared.
