The Lagos State Police Command has arrested eight suspected armed robbers and cult members allegedly planning an operation in the Ikorodu area of Lagos.

The suspects: 25-year-old Nurudeen Dolapo; 27-year-old Fadiya Ayodele; 28-year-old Lawal Rasheed; 26-year-old Akerele Demilare; 23-year-old Alimi Victor; 25-year-old Okiki Alufoge; 25-year-old Agboola Samuel; and Ayolade Victor, were arrested during a targeted raid in the Odogunyan area.

The Bullock Tactical Team reportedly stormed a criminal hideout at about 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, October 15, 2025, where the suspects were allegedly planning nefarious activities, reports The Guardian.

According to the Police Public Relations Officer, Abimbola Adebisi, items recovered from the suspects included a Nigerian military camouflage uniform, a battle axe, an assault dagger, several charms, and counterfeit $100 bills totalling $3,000.

Adebisi said one of the suspects, Fadiya Ayodele, confessed to being the leader of the Eiye Confraternity in the area and admitted to having earlier handed a locally made pistol to one Adewunmi Annadex, who is currently on the run.

The Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Olohundare Jimoh, commended the operatives for their professionalism and swift action. He reaffirmed the Command’s commitment to ensuring the safety and security of all residents of Lagos State.
