•Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa of Ondo State
Ondo State governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, has approved the appointment of one Commissioner, three Special Advisers, 90 Senior Special Assistants (SSAs) and 910 Special Assistants (SAs).
According to the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Ebenezer Adeniyan, the appointments were made as part of efforts to strengthen governance and improve service delivery across the state.
Recall that the governor sacked his aides a few months ago and subsequently promised to reappoint 1,000 SAs and SSAs across the 18 local government areas of the state, reports Daily Trust.
Adeniyan said the appointments are expected to bolster the administration’s capacity in key sectors and enhance grassroots engagement across the state.
According to the brief, Erelu Taibat Yemi Oloruntoba from Akoko North-West Local Government Area has been nominated as Commissioner for Special Duties.
Her name has been forwarded to the Ondo State House of Assembly for screening and confirmation.
Governor Aiyedatiwa also appointed three Special Advisers to oversee critical areas of government operations.
They are Hon. Abimbola Fajolu from Ileoluji/Okeigbo Local Government Area as Special Adviser on Environment; Chief Ade Adeniyi from Ondo West Local Government Area as Special Adviser on Rural and Community Development; and Mr. Muyiwa Ogunyemi from Akoko North-East Local Government Area as Special Adviser on Transport.
The governor further approved the appointment of 90 Senior Special Assistants to support the implementation of government policies and programmes.
Among those appointed are Erelu Toyin Ogungbure as SSA, Women Mobilisation (South); Bidemi Obayangbon as SSA, Forestry; and Gboluge Olufunmi Alex as SSA, Community Engagement (South).
Others include Hon. Akin Adeniyi, SSA, Community Engagement (Central); Obayan Theophilus Ayodeji, SSA, Community Engagement (North); Kelvin Solomon, SSA, Students Affairs; and Adeolu Iwakun, SSA, Volunteer Services.
Also on the list are Samson Job Bazuaye, SSA, Oil and Gas; Fade Ojamomi Esq., SSA, Youth Empowerment and Job Creation; Sam Adepoju, SSA, Public Engagement; and Alhaji Samad Orijeminiyi, SSA, Scholarship.
The appointments also featured Mr. Victor Omodara as SSA, Grassroots Mobilisation; Abayomi Adefolalu as SSA, Photography; as well as Alhaji Abdukadiri Adenoyi, Prince Nzuoma Egbulefu and Alhaji Garba Goni as SSAs, Non-Indigenes Affairs.
Adeniyan said the full list of the Senior Special Assistants and 910 Special Assistants would be released later.
He added that all the appointments take immediate effect.
