•Akpabio, Eno and Tinubu

The Akwa Ibom State governor, Pastor Umo Eno, has commended President Bola Armed Tinubu and wife Oluremi for their warm birthday felicitation sent to him on the occasion of his birthday.

Speaking glowingly at Special Children’s home, the occasion, where he had the opportunity to interact with the children and help them, Governor Eno also extended his warm wishes to the Senate President, his political father, Mr Udom Emmanuel, APC party faithfuls and political stakeholders for their good wishes on the occasion of his birthday.

Gov Eno thanked the caregivers for the wonderful work they have done and directs immediate employment of the 22 caregivers of the children, promising to give them more rewards if those children are properly taken care of.

Governor Eno directed his Senior Special on Entrepreneurial Development, Mr. Ime Uwah, to train and empower 15 children who have completed vocational programmes, and ensure their settlements after six months as some of them were getting to 27 years old, needed to be freed and start their own lives.

The governor in his magnanimity, also approved automatic employment opportunities for qualified Registered Nurses and NCE holders, reaffirming his continued government support for children in state homes, urging them to remain hopeful and confident, with the interventions reflecting a broader commitment to restoring dignity and expanding opportunity.

The event featured various performances by different special homes, special feature by Chris Vic, song ministration by Harmon Choral and presentation by Akwa Ibom Youth Professionals, as well as cutting of the 62nd birthday cake by the governor.

The event was witnessed by well-meaning citizens of the state and others.
