The 2024 election of new national leaders of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) is ongoing.

NBA National Publicity Secretary, Akorede Habeeb Lawal, in a statement made available to The Frontier today says the voting process began at midnight today, Saturday, July 20, 2024, and will end precisely at 11:59 pm also today.

According to Lawal, the Electoral Committee of the Nigerian Bar Association has sent out a unique voting link to every verified voter via SMS and registered email with the Nigerian Bar Association.

“Voting is seamless and user-friendly. All you need to do is: Click on the voting link provided. Follow the prompts to cast your vote. Remember to click on the confirmation link after casting your vote to ensure your vote is counted,” he said.

The Frontier reports that the ongoing election is meant to produce a candidate who will take over from the current NBA President Yakubu Chonoko Maikyau, as well as other national officers of the lawyers’ body, for a two-year tenure.
