Piqued by the ceaseless tempo of insecurity in the country and its devastating consequences, the Archdeacon of St. Paul’s Church, Chokoneze, Ezinihitte Mbaise Council Area of Imo State, Rev. Jonathan Ezeji, has called for effective engagement with traditional rulers in the nation’s security architecture to weed off all manner of hoodlums at the grassroots, reports Daily Independent.
“Until our monarchs who are the eyes of the government at the grassroots are effectively factored into our security arrangements and are adequately mobilised with modern security gadgets and vehicles to fight insecurity in their various domains, our onslaught against these bad boys, their agents and collaborators might remain a mirage”, Rev. Jonathan Ezeji said.
The cleric gave the clarification shortly after a special thanksgiving service marking the 10th year coronation of the traditional ruler of Umueze Chokoneze, HRH Eze Mike E.O.A Nwamara and his Ugoeze Chigbo Nwamara.
