A motorcyclist died this morning at Area B, Point Road, inward Airways Lagos in a collision with a Dangote truck.
The motorcyclist died instantly while the passenger sustained injuries and was rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment, reports The Nation.
According to eyewitness reports, the collision took place at a busy section of the road.
The driver of the Dangote truck and assistant fled the accident scene immediately.
Police officers from Area B Command were promptly notified and arrived at the scene to manage the situation.
The lifeless body of the motorcycle rider was evacuated by the police while the truck was apprehended and taken to the Area B Police Station for further investigation.
As of the time of this report, efforts were underway to locate the truck driver and assistant.
The injured passenger, whose identity has not yet been disclosed, is receiving treatment at a nearby hospital.
