The Labour Party’s governorship candidate, George Moghalu, has unveiled his running mate, Ifeoma Okaro, as Anambra State prepares for the governorship election come November 8, 2025.

While presenting her to the local governments, ward chairmen and secretaries of the party in Awka, yesterday, Moghalu expressed confidence in the party’s victory in the coming poll, reports Channels TV.

During the meeting, the candidate addressed critical issues, including party unity, where he emphasised the need for party unity, urging members to work together towards success in the election.

He stated that the party would make massive efforts to have success, adding that the Labour Party was not the same as others, as there were no alliances.

Moghalu touched on an aggressive campaign at the local level, encouraging chairmen and secretaries to market the party to their people, assuring that the party has made commitments and will not fail its supporters.

On Accountability, Moghalu highlighted his commitment to accountability, stating that the confidence reposed in him would not be betrayed.

The gubernatorial hopeful noted that the 2023 presidential candidate of the party, Peter Obi, is fully behind them and will soon publicly identify with their campaign.

The unveiled deputy governorship candidate, Ifeoma Okaro, urged fellow women to unite behind the flag bearer and herself, emphasising that Moghalu has demonstrated gender and religious sensitivity.

She encouraged women to rally behind the Labour Party, noting that they were the real voters and that it was time to rally support for the party completely.
