•Dele Farotimi and Afe Babalola
The National Consultative Front, (NCFront), has urged the Nigerian Judiciary and security agencies to respect the rule of law and release activist lawyer Dele Farotimi unconditionally without any further delay.
The mass political movement otherwise known as the 3rd Force, insists that the charges against Farotimi are civil, not criminal.
NCFront made this known in a statement last night signed by its spokesperson, Mallam Hamisu Santuraki, and made available to The Frontier.
Recall that Dele Farotimi was granted bail by the court yesterday with stiff conditions including barring him from speaking to the press.
In its statement yesterday, NCFront also appealed to Chief Afe Babalola, SAN, to soft pedal as a father on the matter in view of the huge national controversy and distractions the hullabaloo has caused governance issues in the country.
“…This matter can still be settled amicably by the two parties in due course.
“Nigeria should be saved from undue distraction in finding solutions to the growing hardship in the country as we are all facing a time bomb as a country,” Santuraki said.

Afe Babalola – Dele Farotimi Saga: Defamation is Civil and Bailable not Criminal to warrant prolong drama
….. Police Should Embrace Rule of Law to neutralise the growing tension over the matter
……Nigeria needs to focus more on tackling the growing hunger and hardship in the country
National Consultative Front, NCFront wishes to task the Nigerian Judiciary to respect the rule of law and release Dele Farotimi from detention without further rigmarole as the charges preferred against him are not criminal but civil under the law and bailable without so much melodrama displayed on the case.
