Actress Ini Edo has announced a new way for fans to honour her late colleague Alex Ekubo.

In a post on Instagram, she said a tribute link has been set up where friends and fans can share memories of the actor.

She noted that the messages would comfort his family and show them how much he was loved.

She asked the public to use the link in Alex Ekubo’s bio to submit tributes and thanked everyone for their continued prayers and support.

“Beloved friends and fans of our dear Alex Ekubo, we have created a link where you can leave a tribute for Alex. Tap on the link in His Bio and follow the instructions. We are grateful for all your love and prayers… This means so much to His family to know you genuinely loved him. God bless and keep us all,” she wrote.

Alex Ekubo died on Monday, May 11, 2026 at age 40. His family confirmed he passed at Evercare Hospital after a brief battle with complications from advanced metastatic kidney cancer.

The family expressed appreciation for the life he lived and for the overwhelming love, messages, and support they have received during their grief.
