The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has issued an important announcement to Nigerians who have yet to claim their certificates of national service.

The scheme has introduced a new fee structure for the late collection of unclaimed certificates, with charges ranging from N5,000 to N20,000, depending on the number of years the certificate has remained unclaimed.

According to a statement released via the NYSC’s official X handle (formerly Twitter) @officialnyscng today, Friday, August 16, 2024.

Those who have delayed collecting their certificates for less than five years will be required to pay a fee of N5,000.

For certificates unclaimed between five to nine years, the fee increases to N10,000.

Lastly, individuals who have not collected their certificates for ten years or more will need to pay N20,000.
