Popular actor Okon Lagos to ADC: Your coalition is crippled without Peter Obi

The FrontierThe FrontierAugust 1, 2025 1851 Minutes read0

•Peter Obi and Okon Lagos

Nigerian actor and social commentator, Imeh Bishop Umoh, popularly known as Okon Lagos, has dismissed the recent coalition plans by the African Democratic Congress (ADC), describing them as weak and ineffective without the involvement of former Labour Party presidential candidate, Mr. Peter Obi.

Reacting to reports of the ADC’s efforts to build a third-force coalition ahead of the 2027 general elections, Okon Lagos, in a strongly worded post on his verified Instagram page, said any political alliance that excludes Obi is “a limp attempt at relevance.”

“The coalition is a three-legged stool, and one leg is already broken. Without Peter Obi, you are just dancing around with no rhythm or direction,” he wrote.

He accused the ADC and other fringe parties of exploiting public frustration with the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) and the opposition People’s Democratic Party (PDP), without presenting any credible alternative.

“You people keep announcing coalitions every four years like it’s a wrestling tag team match. Meanwhile, the people are looking for competence, credibility, and courage. Obi may not be perfect, but he represents something real. Remove him, and the rest is just political garnish.”

In a more controversial part of his post, Okon Lagos used a metaphor that has since gone viral to underscore the perceived futility of the ADC’s efforts without Obi’s participation.

“In all they (ADC) do, they should realise they are like a very big manhood, and Peter Obi is their erection. A big manhood is useless without the capacity to be erect,” he stated.

The post has sparked debate online, with many social media users backing the actor’s stance, while some ADC supporters insisted the party remains committed to youth-driven transformation and coalition-building.

The ADC leadership is yet to respond officially to the actor’s remarks.
