The Salvation Army, Ibekwe Corps, under the Akwa-Ibom South West District, is gearing up for a historic milestone as the church celebrates its 100th Anniversary on Sunday, December 7, 2025.
According to the Centenary Planning Committee, the celebration will take place at the Ibekwe Corps Hall and will begin at 10:00 a.m. In a statement issued today and made available to The Frontier, the committee revealed that distinguished personalities, such as the Territorial Leaders of The Salvation Army Nigeria Territory – Commissioners Friday and Glory Ayanam, community leaders, and friends of the Corps are being invited to grace the occasion as Special Guests of Honour.

In a formal message jointly signed by Envoy Erasmus Ekpobo (FNSE), Chairman of the Centenary Planning Committee, and Major Ukeme Jonathan, Divisional Officer of the Akwa-Ibom South West District, the leadership expressed excitement as they prepare for what promises to be a memorable and spiritually uplifting event.
