‘What about FFK and Reno?’ – Reactions trail Bwala’s appointment as Tinubu’s aide

Reactions have continued to trail the appointment of Daniel Bwala, a former aide to Atiku Abubakar, as Special Adviser on Public Communication and Media (State House) to President Bola Tinubu.

Tinubu, yesterday, appointed Bwala, who served as a spokesperson for Atiku’s 2023 presidential campaign, along with three other director-generals of various agencies into his administration, reports Nigerian Tribune.

The choice of Bwala, who was one of President Tinubu’s strongest critics, as his adviser has sparked debate on social media. While some view the appointment as a reward for Bwala’s recent support for Tinubu, others are questioning when he will appoint others like Reno Omokri and Femi Fani Kayode (FFK) who are also presently dancing around the president on social media.

Reacting to the appointment on X, a user, @SeyiAjisafe tweeted, “Finally hustle don pay. So how many special advisers now on media alone now and this were d same people shouting on cutting cost of governance/implementing the Oransaye report…When will Reno get his own maybe special adviser on Peter Obi?”

Another user, @BennethIroegbu1 wrote, “Finally, finally he has been settled. In this clime, there are no principled politicians who speak with conviction. They speak one thing in the morning and by evening they have changed depending on the condition of their stomach. Should you take them seriously? At your own risk.”

“Finally, the hustle paid. Atiku would be in deep thoughts now about how he surrounded himself with snakes. @Oyekadupe1 opined.

@DearestIroros wrote, “At last, his efforts and sacrifices have paid him. Let us see how he continues to repaint or rebrand the product he once smeared and castigated…”

“Daniel Bwala will be serving a Muslim-Muslim government. The same person who worked against Tinubu on the basis that he couldn’t support a Muslim-Muslim ticket. He stood for equity, fairness and justice but where is all these that he stood for?” @Kaveer_gaya tweeted.

@Kennythema tweeted, “Finally the hustle paid off. May the God of Bwala do it for Reno and FFK.”

“What about FFK and Reno?” @Acefestus asked rhetorically.
