Youngest goal scorers across Europe’s five big leagues •FULL LIST

The FrontierThe FrontierMarch 16, 2026 942 Minutes read0

•Lamine Yamal

Arsenal wonderkid Max Dowman has become the Premier League’s youngest-ever goalscorer, though he still falls short of the all-time top-flight record.

Across Europe, history is full of prodigious talents who made their mark at remarkably young ages.

According to Planet Football today, here’s a look at the youngest goalscorers from each of Europe’s five biggest leagues:

La Liga – Lamine Yamal (Barcelona)

Age: 16 years, 87 days

Yamal made his debut under Xavi Hernandez in Barcelona’s 2023-24 title-winning season and became the club’s youngest debutant in over a century.

He scored his first La Liga goal against Granada, assisted by Joao Felix, and has since broken records as Spain’s youngest international scorer and youngest player to reach 100 senior professional appearances in Europe.

English Top Flight – Jason Dozzell (Ipswich Town)

Age: 16 years, 57 days

Dozzell remains the youngest-ever goalscorer in English top-flight history, scoring on his debut for Ipswich in 1984 under Bobby Robson.

Max Dowman may have broken the Premier League era record, but he is 16 days shy of surpassing Dozzell’s all-time achievement. Interestingly, Jason’s son Andre also scored on his debut for Ipswich in the Championship at 16.

Ligue 1 – Richard Krawczyk (Lens)

Age: 16 years, 105 days

Krawczyk became Ligue 1’s youngest-ever scorer in 1963, netting the opener for Lens in a 2-1 win over Angers. Despite France producing numerous wonderkids in recent decades, Krawczyk’s record has stood for over half a century.

Serie A – Amedeo Amadei (Roma)

Age: 15 years, 280 days

Still the youngest goalscorer in the history of Europe’s five major leagues, Amadei scored for Roma in 1937 before his 16th birthday. Known as the ‘Eighth King of Rome,’ he went on to a legendary career with Roma, Inter, and Napoli, winning the Scudetto in 1941-42 and later being inducted into the Italian Football Hall of Fame in 2018.

Bundesliga – Youssoufa Moukoko (Borussia Dortmund)

Age: 16 years, 28 days

Moukoko became the Bundesliga’s youngest-ever goalscorer, following the path of Erling Haaland, Jadon Sancho, and Jude Bellingham at Dortmund.

Despite scoring 16 goals in the Bundesliga, his career trajectory has been uneven, including a loan spell at Nice before moving to FC Copenhagen, though at 21, he still has time to fulfill his potential.

From Amadei in Serie A to Max Dowman in the Premier League, Europe has a rich history of teenage prodigies breaking records and making history, showcasing the extraordinary talent that emerges at the highest level of football.
