2 men in Police net for sodomising 12-year-old boy

The FrontierThe FrontierJuly 22, 2025 1601 Minutes read0

The Bauchi State Police Command has arrested two men for allegedly sodomising a 12-year-old boy.

The spokesperson of the Command, CSP Ahmed Mohammed Wakil, disclosed this in a statement today.

He said police have arrested the suspects, Lukman Mohammed and Musa Halilu, following a complaint by the victim’s father.

According to the Police Public Relations Office, Mohammed and Halilu and another fleeing suspect identified simply as Alkasim, lured the minor into their dwelling where they subjected him to anal sexual intercourse.

The statement read, “On 16th July 2025, at about 1200 hours, Mr. Ibrahim Maikudi submitted a formal complaint to the ‘C’ Divisional Headquarters of the Bauchi Police Command regarding an alleged incident involving criminal conspiracy and unnatural offences.

“The complaint detailed that Mr Maikudi discovered excrement on the trousers of his 12-year-old son. His wife corroborated this observation, reporting having witnessed this occurrence on multiple occasions.

“Upon inquiry, the minor disclosed that he had been enticed by three individuals, identified as Lukman Mohammed, 30, Musa Halilu, 32, and Alkasim, surname unknown.

“In response to the complaint, detectives were dispatched to the location, and the victim was referred to a specialist hospital in Bauchi for a medical examination. Consequently, two suspects have been apprehended, while the third individual remains at large.

“Preliminary investigations indicate that an eyewitness, a watchman in proximity to the location, voluntarily informed the police that he had observed one of the suspects, Musa Halilu, pursuing the boy on two separate occasions.

“The watchman cautioned the boy to maintain a distance from the suspects. Shortly thereafter, he witnessed the boy approaching the suspects’ residence, at which point he intervened and reprimanded the boy.

“Following this incident, the boy’s mother inquired about the reprimand, to which the watchman provided an explanation. The boy subsequently informed his mother that he had been influenced and lured by the suspects above into their dwelling, where he was subjected to anal sexual intercourse.

“Commissioner of Police, CP Sani-Omolori Aliyu, psc (+), mni, has directed the Deputy Commissioner of Police in charge of the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID), Bauchi, to conduct a thorough investigation and to ensure the apprehension of the remaining suspect,” the statement added.
