2face appeals for calm over marital squabble, says outcry endangering Natasha •VIDEO

The FrontierThe FrontierDecember 3, 2025 2721 Minutes read0

•Tuface and Natasha

Nigeria’s musical idol Innocent Idibia, popularly known as 2Baba or 2face, has commented on the public reaction to his recent cry for help, noting that the outcry is putting his wife, Natasha, in danger.

He claimed the matter, as it is, has been blown out of proportion and pleaded with his fans to exercise restraint.

The Afrobeats star, who had earlier been linked to a now-deleted Instagram story where he appeared to ask for help, distanced himself from the post, insisting he did not publish it, although many fans believe he did as the message was posted on his verified account without being hacked.

Some fans even made reference to a similar post he denied during the buildup to his separation with his estranged wife, Annie.

In the latest video, he maintained that the viral message had created unnecessary panic around his home.

In a video posted on X.com (Formerly Twitter), today, 2Baba said the situation was “getting out of hand” and described it as dangerous, noting that he knows what fans are capable of when emotions run high.

He said, “This is getting out of hand, this is a dangerous situation, I know what fans can do, I know what people can do, and this is putting Natasha at risk.”

He appealed to fans, friends, and family to “cease fire” and allow the couple to resolve their issues privately.

According to him, disagreements in relationships are not unusual, but the current frenzy around his marriage has gone beyond acceptable limits.

“It is not fair on anybody to face this kind of thing, so I need everybody to calm down, I need everybody to cease fire, we are going to resolve all these issues. People dey get issues for house, no be today, but this is getting out of hand. Friends, family, everybody, cease fire, I am perfectly fine. I did not post that post, please, I am okay.”

This comes amid earlier reports that the singer was briefly detained by UK police after an alleged altercation with Natasha during his October tour.

The matter resurfaced during an Instagram Live session with broadcaster Daddy Freeze, where the couple were heard arguing in the background, fuelling speculation of a marital crisis and raising concerns over the singer’s well-being.
