Three persons have lost their lives in an accident that occurred along Ondo-Ore highway, in Ondo State.
It was gathered that one brewery truck, fully loaded with beer, fell on a Volkswagen Golf vehicle, with registration number BUR 852 TS, conveying passengers to Ondo, at Liyetu area of the town, reports Vanguard.
It was gathered that the three passengers died instantly.
Contacted, the state police image maker, Funmi Odunlami confirmed the casualties.
Odunlami said: “Policemen have been deployed to the scene, the deceased were deposited at the General Hospital Morgue, Ondo, while the injured passenger had been taken to Trauma Centre in Ondo town.
“The Police Motor Traffic Division of Enu-owa has moved into to clear the traffic on the road.”
She advised the motoring public to make use of alternative routes, to avoid been trapped in the hold up and people whose loved ones ply the route should endeavour to check on them.
