Five persons have been killed in renewed cult clash in Ondo City, Ondo West Local Government Area.

One person was killed around FFF junction, Oka area and three others were shot dead near Ife Garage area, reports The Nation.

It could not be confirmed which of the cult groups were involved in the clash but sources said the killings bore signs of Aye and eiye cult groups.

Ondo Police spokesman, Ayanlade Olayinka Olushola, who confirmed the killings said some persons have been arrested in connection to the killings.

Ayanlade said security has been beefed up around Ondo town to prevent further killings.
