Mustapha Rabiu Musa, son of the presidential candidate of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) and leader of the Kwankwasiyya movement, Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, has been sworn in as Commissioner of Youth and Sports of Kano State.

The governor also swore in three other commissioners who were recently cleared by the State House of Assembly, reports Daily Trust

The four new commissioners are Mustapha Rabiu Kwankwaso, Abduljabbar Garko, Shehu Aliyu Yarmedi and Adamu Aliyu Kibiya.

After the swearing-in ceremony, Yusuf assigned portfolios to the new state executive cabinet members.

While Mustapha heads the Youth and Sport Ministry, Garko is to be in charge of Land and Survey Ministry while Yarmedi heads the Ministry for Special Duties.

Kibiya, who was earlier sacked over inciting comments against the Vice President and threats to the Election Petition Tribunal Judges was redeployed to the Commerce and Industry Ministry. He formerly headed the Ministry of Land and Physical Planning.

Until now, the commerce and industry ministry was headed by Abbas Sani Abbas who is now redeployed to Rural and Community Development ministry.

According to the Governor, Safiyanu Hamza Kachako who was heading the Ministry of Rural and Community Development is now a commissioner without portfolio.

Meanwhile, humanitarian ministry newly introduced alongside three others is now headed by the former commissioner for special Duties, Amina Abdullahi Sani.
