BBNAIJA Season 9: Who wins N100 million grand prize as show ends tomorrow?

The FrontierThe FrontierOctober 5, 2024 4472 Minutes read0

Surprises, tears of joy and emotions will surely fill the air tomorrow evening, as this year’s edition of the Big Brother Naija reality TV show tagged, “Don’t Loose Guard’ comes to an end after 70 days of intense drama, romance and controversies.

Eight finalists; Anita, Nelly, Ocee, Onyeka, Victoria, Sooj, Kellyrae and Wanni emerged after three housemates were evicted during the live show last Sunday, setting the stage for ‘a night of showdown,’ reports Saturday Vanguard.

The show, which started with 28 housemates, has seen 20 contestants evicted over the course of nine weeks. Nonetheless, expectations are high as the eight finalists battle for the star prize for the grand prize of N100 million and a brand new SUV, among other prizes.

An interesting aspect about this year’s edition is that this is the first time contestants would enter the game as pairs, such as a married couple and identical twins and the new idea added spark to the show.

The past 70 days have been full of drama, intrigues and romance, even though many viewers would argue that this season has fallen short of the expectations of the viewers in terms of stirring up controversies and breaking tables.

But as the show rounds off tomorrow, the vibe in the BBNaija house is somewhat heavy with emotions, as the remaining eight housemates are feeling the heat. Biggie isn’t making it any easier as he keeps playing a series of heartfelt messages from home, showering the finalists with congratulations and words of encouragement to keep pushing them forward because “the only way is up”.

While these messages have brought some joy, they also led to a flood of tears, especially for Nelly, who found comfort in the toilet cubicle with her partner Sooj. Sooj gently reminded Nelly to stay strong for her family, just like Anita and Onyeka. But whatever it is, one winner must emerge by the end of tomorrow’s live show.

As it stands, many are tipping Sooj to be the first housemate to be evicted from the house tomorrow, while Kellyrae is described as a housemate to beat, because of his strategic game play and recent revelation that he and evicted housemate Kassia are married. This twist has gained massive support for Kellyrae, as fans seem to be rooting for him following his resilience in the game.

Wanni is another strong contender, who should not be ignored. She has displayed exceptional determination and skill, competing favourably while the show lasts. Emerging the winner of the Innoson Car Challenge, was an indication that she may repeat the feat at the grand finale.

Being the “energy queen” of the house, Wanni gave her all in the show, while hoping for the best tomorrow.

The duo of Anita and Nelly, is the only pair, who entered the house together and made it to the final. They came up with the pair name Nelita from combining their names Anita and Nelly together. They gained significant attention following the way they played their games individually and cruising into the finale. But will either Anita or Nelly make history tomorrow? Other names such as Victoria, Onyeka and Ocee, are not pushovers, and may spring surprises at the grand finale.

But while the clock is ticking, the question on the lips of everyone is, who will walk away with the BBNaija grand prize of N100m? Your guess is as good as mine.
