Navy promotes 146 senior officers •LIST

The Navy Board yesterday Thursday, December 19, 2024 approved the promotion of 146 senior officers to various ranks in the Nigerian Navy.

A breakdown of the promotions released showed that 24 Commodores were promoted to the rank of Rear Admiral, 26 Captains were elevated to the rank of Commodore, and 96 Commanders were promoted to the rank of Captain.

This was revealed in a statement by Commodore A ADAMS-ALIU on behalf of the Chief of the Naval Staff, Vice Admiral Emmanuel Ogalla today.

The newly promoted Rear Admirals are Ibrahim Mohammed-Katsina, SulemanDahun, Gideon JinjirimKachim, AboladeOlanreleOgunleye, SeminuAdisaAdepegba, Bob-Manuel KokoeteEffiong, Yusuf Sani Idris, Danjuma Mohammed Ndanusa, IfeanyiChidiOkpala, Mushin Yahaya Abba, Victor DabessChoji, Vincent BurabariGbaranwi, Madumom Ide, Desmond Okechukwu Igbo, KolawaleOlumideOguntuga, Adedokun John Siyanbade, Raheem Taofeek, KabiruTanimu, Bai Haruna Sabo, Jonathan OjoneAjodo, Paul Efe-Oghene, MusliuOlatokunboYussuff, AbiodunAlade and Samuel Innocent Ngatuwa.

The newly promoted Commodores are Mohammed Ahmed Abdullahi, Kabir Umar Rabiu, Bashir Abubakar, OlayinkaAyodeleAliu, UcheAneke, TemitopeAdesholaBamidele, Ekuma Raphael Ekuma, Nsikan Friday, Ibrahim Ari Gwaska, MaksumAbdullahi Mohammed, MutalibIbikunleRaji, MurtalaAminuRogo, Umar Saidu, Aminu Shehu, Mohammed SaghirShettima, Jelani Umar, Olusegun AbiodunAwofe, Manga SalisuDanjuma, Mohammed AuwalJibrilla, Adamu Mohammed Mohammed, Kelechi Kingsley Ogbonna, MakanjuolaYakubOlowu, SaiduSulaiman, YahayaJaja Muhammed, Sylvester Kennedy Ogogo and Babatunde Usman Quadri.

Ogalla congratulated the newly-promoted senior officers and their families. while charging them to rededicate themselves to their responsibilities, and remain loyal to the nation and the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, President Bola Tinubu.
