Police recruitment: Schedule for physical screening of applicants announced

The FrontierThe FrontierDecember 28, 2023 5630 Minutes read0

•Police recruits

The Nigerian Police today announced the schedule for the physical screening of applicants for recruitment into the Force.

The Police in a post on X directed recruitment applicants to log on to https://apply.policerecruitment.gov.ng/print-screen-status to get their scheduled date and time for physical screening.

The online application portal was opened for six weeks from October 15 to November 26, 2023.

In a related development, the Police Service Commission (PSC) has disowned a trending video of an invitation for the screening of recruits with a request for payment of N2,000.

The commission urged all intending recruits to shun payments of any kind as employment into the police is free of charge.

The spokesman of the commission, Ikechukwu Ani, described the publication requesting prospective candidates for screening for recruitment into the Constable cadre of the Nigeria Police Force to come with the sum of N2000 as fictitious.

“The message which had the name of the Commission on top, reads “Police Service Commission: congratulations and U have been shortlisted for the physical screening 8 January 2024, come along with 2k when coming.”

Ani said the PSC disowned and disassociated itself from the said publication which is fictitious and misleading.
