After 12 weeks of nail-biting competition, show-stopping vocals, and and dazzling performances, Purp is crowned the winner of Nigerian Idol Season 10, becoming the first female contestant to claim the crown since 2014.

The grand finale, which aired live, on Sunday saw Purp go head-to-head with fellow finalist Raymu in a thrilling showdown that kept viewers on the edge of their seats, reports Channels TV.

Hosted by IK Osakioduwa and featuring excellent appearances, musical tributes, and high-energy performances the finale was a night to remember.

Both finalists delivered powerful performances, but it was Purp who ultimately captured the hearts of Nigerians nationwide, securing the title with the highest number of votes.

As the winner of Season 10, Purp walks away with a prize package that includes a brand-new SUV, a ₦30 million cash prize, a DStv Explora with a one-year premium subscription, and a music deal to launch her professional career.

In an emotional post-win speech, Purp expressed heartfelt gratitude, “Thank you so much guys, thank you so much Nigeria. I’m really grateful and honoured for this, thank you for your support. I love you guys so much. Thank you!Thank you!Thank you!.”

Judges Omawumi, Ric Hassani, and Iyanya, joined by guest judge 9ice, praised both finalists for their growth, consistency, and determination throughout the season.

This year’s edition kicked off with online auditions, open to Nigerians aged 16–30, which closed on February 2.

After screening and live shows that began on May 25, the Top 10 contestants, Mikki, Raymu, Ellacentric, Kristopher, Sally, Boss Lady, Brammy, Jkenova, Lawrence, and Purp, battled it out week after week.

Each performance was judged on vocal strength, stage presence, and overall star quality, but it was ultimately the viewers’ votes that decided their fate.
