BBNaija S10: Imisi opens up on heartbreak, miscarriage during ‘perfect’ relationship

•Imisi

Big Brother Naija All-Stars housemate, Imisi, has opened up about how her seemingly perfect relationship took a painful turn after she got pregnant.

In a heartfelt conversation with fellow housemate Kaybobo, Imisi shared that everything was going well with her then-partner —whom she described as deeply loving and supportive — until she became pregnant.

“This last relationship was my best ever, until I got pregnant,” she recounted. “Everything just went sour. He never cheated before, at least not that I ever saw, but things changed drastically.”

According to Imisi, her ex-boyfriend, Hakeem, began staying out late and exhibiting suspicious behaviour during her pregnancy, despite initially being enthusiastic about starting a family together.

Kaybobo asked if he had started cheating. Imisi replied, “Yeah. Stuff started happening. He would come home late; we lived together for a year. It was really crazy. Hakeem loved me, and it was glaring. He wanted the baby, and I wanted the baby too.”

She said the breaking point came when she discovered he had been unfaithful, despite knowing she was carrying his child.

Although he apologised and pleaded for forgiveness, Imisi felt too betrayed to continue the relationship.

“He tried his best. He said he doesn’t want to lose me, and he’s not going to do it again. But I just couldn’t,” she explained.

“Because if he could take that step when I was pregnant…”

Tragically, Imisi also revealed that she lost the pregnancy after three months, adding another layer of emotional trauma to the experience.
